GDPR

What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU. The GDPR aims primarily to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data. Secondly it aims to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU.

It was adopted on 14 April 2016, and after a two-year transition period, becomes enforceable on 25 May 2018. The GDPR replaces the 1995 Data Protection Directive. Because the GDPR is a regulation, not a directive, it does not require national governments to pass any enabling legislation. Therefore it is directly binding and applicable.

What's it's purpose?

The regulation applies if the data controller (an organisation that collects data from EU residents), or processor (an organisation that processes data on behalf of a data controller like cloud service providers), or the data subject (person) is based in the EU. Under certain circumstances, the regulation also applies to organisations based outside the EU if they collect or process personal data of individuals located inside the EU.

What data does Enabled collect?

We were always interested in getting to know our customer needs. Rather than steeling them from some bizarre source that knows even when our customers breath. Considering most companies sell and buy user data like we buy water, this doesn’t seem the best strategy. But we find our approach to be decent, ethic and moral.

You’re in safe hands!

The information we have about our users is solely based on our Social Marketing platforms and Google Analytics:

Our approach will always be personal and based on feedback. We value your privacy for the simplest and most logical reason. We value our own privacy, so why would we invade yours?

All the best,
Team Enabled
